When we finally reached Disneyland , I thought there were nothing special cuz what comes into my first sight is only a long lane and a tagline of "Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort". By then I started groaning: "How come Disneyland is just so normal?" As I walked further down the lane I realized that we haven't get our tickets and how come we can get into the actual Disneyland yet.
We got our pass and entered the "Automatic tickets dispenser", its just as easy as pie! All you need to do is just scan the bar code on the pass and you might get your super cuddly tickets! Before you enter Disneyland the securities will demand for inspection of your backpacks and tickets, but don't worry you can bring in some foods and refreshments too.
Disneyland is awesome! We started strolling down the street right after we got our map. There were many European style shops and kiosks lining two rows of the lane. Each shops and kiosks have their own unique designs and themes where most of them were selling Disney souvenirs. We entered the shops but we didn't buy any souvenirs cuz they were too pricey. But the souvenirs were adorable and of high quality!
We saw Mickey & Minnie but we didn't stand a chance to take any photos with them cuz there was a time limit and we missed it oh no!
Our next stop is Adventureland where we headed straight to the "Festival of the Lion King" cuz this show is available during certain periods only. This show is inspired from the Disney well-known Lion King's tale and soundtracks that make used of splendid on-stage performances. If you watched Lion King before I'm sure you will understand the story flow better like I did. I loved the Lion King soundtracks so much and now they just came on-stage live! It is such an enjoyable performance where you can enjoy the coordinated visual and sensation ensemble.
We proceeded to Toy Story Land after the Lion King performance. I don't really know Toy Story much but I was impressed by RC Racer which is one of the gaming facilities of Toy Story Land. Try a ride if you have enough of courage! Others gaming facilities such as Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, Slinky Dog Spin and Barrel of fun are also available at Toy Story Land. *more to kids.*
At 3pm sharp we standby in front of Disney Castle for the Disney Parade. The Disney Parade is great where each Disney floats were decorated with the respective Disney characters. The first float that spearheaded the parade was Dumbo the flying elephant (小飞象). *Yeah that's me! (my nickname)* The kids were so excited when they saw their favourite Disney character appear just in front of them. The parade was complemented with the street performances and kids can join the parade performances too! The Disney princesses, Snow White, Sleeping beauty, Cinderella and Beauty & the beast appeared last and I'm pretty sure little girls would definitely love them! They were so beautiful and waved elegantly to the crowd as the floats passed by.
The Golden Mickeys is a music drama which is also only available at certain periods just like the Festival of the Lion King. If you are at Disneyland I strongly suggest that these on-stage performances are top priorities cuz you can only watch them in Disneyland. This music drama is based on the Disney awards ceremony together with the Disney characters from Disney films being nominated. There were alternative performances from mickey & minnie, Toy story land, Tarzan, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, Beauty & the beast and Little mermaid. This music drama is perfect! *I don't get a chance to take any photos cuz my camera is running out of battery and I gotta reserved it for night time. Btw, just watch the video I attached below and you can watch how great this performance will be!*
Last but not least, we went for Jungle River Cruise in Adventureland and Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland. The Jungle River Cruise is a river ride leaded by a captain to unlock the mysteries hidden behind the jungle. You might spot a lot of creatures and the macaber atmosphere is a little spooky if you have this ride at night. For Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters you might sit in a carriage and leaded into a deep tunnel. It is like a battle where you need to hold a gun and shoot down the "Z" board to score some points. Of course, I get higher scores than my boy ★!
Behind the Disney Castle is the Fantasyland where it is a heaven for kids. However we had our dinner there at Royal Banquet Hall and the cost for every meals were indeed expensive. Royal Banquet Hall is bedecked with a lot of Disney statues, one of them is Cinderella.
Here is Cinderella statue on top of the plinth!
Forgive my childish attitude that I pleaded my boy to have a ride in Cinderella Carousel which is also the merry-go-round. I just wanted to recap my childhood teehee ♥...
My childhood vanished when the carousel stopped and we roamed around those souvenir shops while awaiting for the fireworks performance. Not to forget of course, we took a lot of photos in the shops but not purchasing anything, how ridiculous we were.
At 8 o'clock sharp all people started gathered in front of the magnificent Disney Castle and counting down for the so-called "Disney in the Stars ★" fireworks performance. At last the show begins with the beautiful lighting effect of the Disney Castle followed by the splendid fireworks that enlightened the sky. The entire fireworks performance is so enchanted and magical that made me fell into the trap of this spectacle. Oh no how could I resist this beautiful and romantic night full with the crackling sounds of fireworks?
"Disney in the Stars" fireworks performance marked the end of our Disneyland journey. We cast a lingering look and returned to Disneyland Hollywood Hotel for check in. We were totally exhausted but its a wonderful night that I had never forget ♥.
